BambooHR includes compliance training in its HR product

BambooHR's current U.S. pricing page lists employee records, reporting, workflows, hiring and onboarding, compliance intelligence, and one EasyLlama-powered harassment-prevention course in Core. A company buying BambooHR for HR infrastructure may therefore already have harassment prevention training bundled into its platform. Beamly does not need to be the system of record for recruiting, performance, compensation, benefits, payroll, or general employee files. Its job is narrower.

BambooHR provides the training content

BambooHR keeps training next to employee records

BambooHR's strongest structural advantage is that training can live beside employee records, job information, location, onboarding data, and other HR workflows. Its current feature list describes the broader platform.

If you already use BambooHR, avoiding a separate training system can be valuable. Beamly instead maintains a focused training-administration record rather than attempting to become the company's complete HR system.

Both products address reminders and completion records

Beamly also supports employee-specific dates, reminders, completion evidence, compliance records, status review, and audit-oriented activity. The distinction is not that one product has administration and the other does not. It is whether that workflow belongs inside a full HRIS or a purpose-built California SHPT product.

BambooHR may eliminate the need for Beamly if you already use it

If your company already uses BambooHR and the compliance-training capabilities in your plan meet your California needs, BambooHR may already solve the problem. Adding Beamly could create another system to maintain.

An existing BambooHR customer should first ask whether its included course, assignments, reminders, tracking, reports, and certificates cover the required workflow. If yes, Beamly may not add enough value to justify another product.

Beamly becomes more compelling when the alternative is adopting a complete HR platform mainly to administer California harassment prevention training.

BambooHR publishes starting prices

That small-company starting rate is $3,000 per year before optional add-ons. This is not an apples-to-apples comparison with Beamly because BambooHR includes much more than harassment prevention training. A broad platform can be good value when you need its breadth and excessive when you do not. Confirm current pricing and your actual configuration before buying.

BambooHR is much broader than Beamly

BambooHR includes employee records, reporting, hiring and onboarding, workflows, time-off and benefits tracking, employee-experience tools, and higher-plan performance, compensation, analytics, and benchmark features. Beamly does not claim to replace those systems. BambooHR should win a feature-count contest; the relevant question is whether you need those extra features.

The course library grows with the BambooHR plan

Core includes one harassment-prevention course. Pro adds courses covering cybersecurity, workplace violence prevention, data privacy, unconscious bias, ethics, and OSHA awareness. BambooHR uses EasyLlama for its training content

BambooHR states that its compliance-training courses are powered by EasyLlama. Its pricing page and 2026 compliance-training article identify the partnership.

This makes the product architectures distinct: EasyLlama is a training platform; BambooHR integrates EasyLlama-powered training into a full HR platform; Beamly can provide focused administration around California's free state training.

BambooHR may fit better if:
